Curlleaf Privacy Policy

Curlleaf is a personal planner made by JimDoes.it. You can use your book without creating an email account.

Your planner

Your handwriting, notes, stickers and imported PDFs save on your device. Curlleaf's email account service does not receive your planner pages. When you choose to export an archive or share a file, your selected destination receives that file. Archives include your private pages and are not encrypted by the planner password.

If you choose iCloud backup, Curlleaf saves a snapshot in the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple account. Your Apple account, available iCloud storage and Apple's privacy terms apply. Backups are manual versions, rather than automatic live sync. Deleting a Curlleaf email account does not delete those Apple backups or the book stored on your device.

Optional email account

If you create an email account, we process your email address, account password and verification or recovery requests to provide account access. We store your email address, a salted password verifier and hashed authentication tokens. We do not store your account password in plaintext. Verification and recovery emails contain a single-use code.

Email password recovery restores email-account access. It cannot reset a forgotten planner password or recover your Apple account.

Security and retention

We process the request IP address and keep hashed rate-limit identifiers and timing/count records to reduce abusive requests. We do not use this information for advertising or cross-company tracking. HTTPS protects account requests in transit. Access to account data and backups is restricted.

Deleting your email account removes it and its authentication tokens from the active account service. Previous private daily backup copies may still contain the deleted details until those copies rotate. We retain the latest 14 daily copies, approximately two weeks while daily backups are operating. Verification and recovery codes are kept temporarily in the delivery queue until they are sent, expire or become invalid. Copies already delivered to your email inbox follow your email provider's retention settings.

Face ID and device passcode authentication stay with Apple's device security system. Curlleaf receives the authentication result, not biometric templates. The planner lock limits access in the app; it is not a separate encryption system for exported files.

Support

If you send a bug report, you choose the description and optional reply email. The report includes app/build and operating-system versions, and you can review the email draft before sending it. Do not include private planner contents unless you want support to receive them. We use reports to respond to your request and maintain Curlleaf.

Ads and tracking

Curlleaf has no advertising SDK and does not collect planner-content analytics. We do not sell your planner or account information or use it for cross-company advertising tracking. An external support or maker website uses that website's privacy policy.

Your choices

In Curlleaf, open Settings → Email account, sign in and choose Delete email account. The book on your device and your Apple iCloud snapshots remain under your control. To ask about account information, request help deleting an account or raise a privacy question, contact support@jimdoes.it.

This website

Our website offers optional Google Analytics. It loads only after you choose Allow analytics. It measures page visits using a pseudonymous cookie identifier and general browser/device information. We do not send your planner, account details, form contents or URL query strings to Analytics. Advertising features and enhanced automatic event measurement are disabled. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy terms.

Choose Privacy choices in the footer to allow or decline measurement at any time. Your choice is saved in your browser. Withdrawing consent stops further collection and removes this site’s analytics cookies. Website hosting processes connection information to deliver and protect the site.
